MESSAGE FROM THE EAST
Brethren, I am honored to have been selected to serve as Worshipful Master of our Lodge this year. We are already off to a strong start, as we have four candidates who took the Entered Apprentice Degree in November, and several petitions out for investigation. I hope our Lodge remains busy conferring Degrees, as we have in years past. Remember, if you know someone you think would be interested in joining the Lodge, its ok to say "You would make a good Mason".
If you haven't been attending Lodge lately, I would earnestly request that you consider sharing fellowship with your Brethren once again. Attendance at stated meetings and degree conferrals has fallen to around 5% of our total membership, and participation in social events, which require more planning and come at a higher cost, is often lower. The officers are hard at work planning events that we hope you will enjoy, but we cannot be successful without the support of our Brethren. It is my hope that with your support we can make this a banner year for J. B. Covert Lodge. Whether we succeed in that endeavor is really up to you.
